Mobile - Configure Quick Sign-In


Permissions

You will require the following permissions:

No one really wants to keep entering their username and password every time they use an app, do they? Assure Expenses Mobile allows you to use Touch ID or Face ID with your iPhone, Biometrics with your Android device, or set up a 4-digit PIN to access the app without the need to enter your credentials. This guide will show you how to configure Quick Sign-in for your devices.

Note: Certain devices will have limited configuration options for Quick Sign-in. However, every device will have the ability to set up a PIN.


Configure Quick Sign-in When Signing In

When signing in to Assure Expenses Mobile you will be asked if you want to set up Quick Sign-in.

Enable Touch ID/Face IDThis applies to Apple devices and will sign you in to Assure Expenses Mobile with your Touch ID or Face ID. When you next attempt to sign in you will be prompted to use Touch ID or Face ID.
Enable Device BiometricsThis applies to Android devices and will sign you in to Assure Expenses Mobile with your device's biometrics. When you next attempt to sign in you will be prompted to use your biometrics.
Set PINThis will sign you in to Assure Expenses Mobile after you have created a 4-digit PIN.

Ensure that the PIN you enter is a secure number which only you know. You should avoid using numbers such as your birth year or bank PIN.

Enter the same 4-digit PIN to confirm. This will sign you in to Assure Expenses Mobile and save the PIN so that you can use it to access the app in the future.

Configure Quick Sign-in From the Quick Sign-in Menu

  1. Tap the Navigation Menu  and then tap Settings.


  2. Tap Set Up Quick Sign-In.


  3. For security reasons, you will be required to re-enter your Assure Expenses credentials (Company ID, Username and Password). Once done, tap Confirm.


  4. Depending on your mobile device, you can configure from the options below:

    PIN EntryTap to create/update your PIN.

    Enter your new 4-digit PIN. Ensure that the PIN you enter is a secure number which only you know. You should avoid using numbers such as your birth year or bank PIN.

    Enter the same 4-digit PIN to confirm.
    Biometrics Sign-InTap the toggle to enable/disable. This will allow you to sign in with your Android device biometrics.

    If enabled, you will be prompted to sign in using your biometrics when you next attempt to access Assure Expenses Mobile.
    Face ID Sign-InTap the toggle to enable/disable. This will allow you to sign in with Face ID.

    If enabled, you will be prompted to sign in using facial recognition when you next attempt to access Assure Expenses Mobile.
    Touch ID Sign-InTap the toggle to enable/disable. This will allow you to sign in with Touch ID.

    If enabled, you will be prompted to sign in using your fingerprint when you next attempt to access Assure Expenses Mobile.

Other Details

  • The Face ID/Touch ID/Device Biometrics which you set up can only be used on the device which it was created on. If you want to sign in to Assure Expenses Mobile on another device, you will need to use your normal credentials or set up a new pin for that device.

  • You will have 3 attempts to enter your PIN correctly. If you use all of these attempts, you will be required to sign in using your Company ID, Username, and Password. Once you have successfully signed in, you can reset your PIN from Settings | Set Up Quick Sign-In.
